Fear Is The False Perception Of Reality - 900 Words

Fear My religious leader once said that fear is the false perception of reality. Meaning that it affects how one could think, and it ultimately affects how a person makes decisions which can then affect the person’s life. One of the challenges that I face in my life is being fearful. While fear does not totally consume my life it, does affect the way I think and execute things. If fear was not a challenge in my life I would be able to do and complete anything that I wanted without any hesitation or second guessing. As long as I can remember fear has made me second guess, think twice and even contemplate with everything that I do. For example my first real college experience was going to the summer experience at Kean University s Upward Bound within the first few days of the program I found myself flooded and overwhelmed with work. After two years of Upward Bound I knew college wasn’t going to be easy, but it also made me fear college. In my high school years I feared being i n college because of my experience in Upward Bound. I feared college so much that I even second guessed going to college and even my career path. Although my fear of college is slowly subsiding I know that I cannot let fear be a constant struggle in my life if I want to be happy. But I know that I will have to take risk to succeed and I can’t let fear get in the way of me becoming successful. II. Math Another challenge that I face is mathematics.
